Life has run smooth for the lucky,
Roads were paved with glittering gold.
But for many it has been thorny,
Rocks and mud littered the road.
The life I knew had its twists and turns,
The challenges so numerous, one could drown
In its swirling depths that never ends,
But for the faith I have and some strength.
If only each one knew how to deal with life,
There never would be sorrow to grow and thrive.
But that would be wishing for a new world to live,
A world so rosy, peaceful, joyous and alive.
If life does not run the way we want it,
No one is to blame, just live and let live.
For life in this troubled world can be so short,
